1. Cisco Shake Hands with Experian

Cisco is the worldwide technology leader that has been making the Internet work since 1984. Their people, products, and partners help society securely connect and seize tomorrow's digital opportunity today.

Recently, Experian, named one of Forbes’ Top 100 "World's Most Innovative Companies" in 2018,  launched a global data center innovation initiative to modernize, standardize, and automate its data center technology.

Scientists plan to build computers in college. They believe that the size of the machine is equivalent to a football field, it will carry out complex calculations, and if it is done by ordinary computers, it will take billions of years.

Cisco ACI will help Experian to improved global technology operations. Experian has one of the largest databases of consumer information in the world. Cisco ACI is the industry leading software defined networking (SDN) solution enables application agility and data center automation. It is the core technology for Cisco intent-based networking in data centers.

Robert Abner, senior network engineer at Experian said “We wanted to standardize our network architecture and IT operations worldwide. And we wanted to implement policy-based automation so that changes could be made universally instead of one switch, one data center, and one region at a time. With Cisco ACI, we can develop standardized scripts and policies and then push them to all of our sites.”

According to the scientists, this future computer will be connected by a number of modules placed in a vacuum. Inside these modules, ions that form circuit elements capable of performing primary logic operations are preserved by means of an electric field. Previously, researchers proposed connecting photons through fiber optic modules. In this new project, the problem is solved by the electric field that forms the ion transport channel. In this way, the connection speed is increased by 100,000 times.

Experian is now testing and preparing to deploy the new Cisco ACI Virtual Edge (AVE) in order to extend data center consistency and operational efficiency in the future.

2. Cisco Releases New Developer Capabilities

Cisco announced it has released new developer capabilities across its intent-based networking platform in the early days. These advancements emphasize Cisco's continued progress in delivering an open, programmable platform that spans the entire network, from campus to data center, branch to edge. Cisco is empowering 500,000 developers, 60,000 partners and three million network engineers to innovate upon the platform by providing an open network.

Intent-based networking represents a fundamental shift in the way networks are built and managed. Moving away from the manual, time-intensive methods by which networks are traditionally managed, these modern networks capture business intent and translate it into network policies. These policies are then automatically activated across the entire infrastructure, with the assurance that the business intent was delivered as planned.

David Goeckeler, the executive vice president and general manager of Cisco's Networking and Security Business said "Intent-based networking represents the next generation of open, IP-based systems that we've seen can change the actual fabric of society. Cisco is building an open architecture that will power an ecosystem to accelerate intent-based networking innovation. Already, our customers and partners are creating value from their networks in ways they thought weren't possible as recently as one year ago."

3. Samsung and Cisco in Partnership

Samsung Electronics and Cisco announced a cooperation. They have successfully completed a friendly-user trial and series of 5G demonstrations with Orange in Floresti, Cluj, Romania.

Since the announcement in February by the three companies of the first multi-vendor 5G fixed wireless trial in Europe (Link), the friendly-user trial has been running for a month and a half across multiple homes in Floresti, Cluj district, Romania. The trial makes use of Samsung's 5G solutions including the virtualized RAN, one of the smallest 5G access units and multiple indoor and outdoor 5G routers (CPE), as well as Cisco's Meraki Z3 WiFi Router and Ultra Gateway Platform, which delivers a 5G virtual packet core on top of Cisco NFV

Infrastructure that brings enhanced throughput and flexibility.

The results of this research by Chinese scientists are published online in Nature in Photonics. This is the first single-photon-based quantum simulator in history that surpasses the early classic computers, laying a solid foundation for the ultimate goal of quantum computing beyond classical computing power.

In the quantum computer developed by the team, the superconducting system also has a major breakthrough. In 2015, Google, NASA and the University of California, Santa Barbara announced the implementation of high-precision manipulation of nine superconducting qubits. But this record was broken by the Chinese team of scientists this year. Zhu Xiaobo, Wang Haohua, Lu Chaoyang and Pan Jianwei cooperated independently to develop a 10-bit superconducting quantum line sample. Through high-precision pulse control and global entanglement operation, the multi-body pure entanglement of the world's largest number of superconducting qubits was successfully realized.

By leveraging the wide bandwidth available at 26 GHzand advanced antenna technologies such as massive MIMO and beamforming, the companies were able to achieve coverage beyond 1 km at 1 Gbps speed for a single user in real live conditions. Measurements in these conditions also show aggregated cell downlink throughputs of 3 Gbps with few users, although the system capacity is significantly higher.

It is understood that the Pan Jianwei team is working on the design, preparation and testing of 20 superconducting qubit samples, and plans to release a quantum cloud computing platform by the end of this year.

4. Brief Introduction of Cisco Certifications and Exams

The main requirement for obtaining Cisco Career Certifications such as CCENT, CCNA Routing and Switching, CCDP and CCIE and Cisco Specialist Certifications such as Cisco Firewall Security Specialist is to take and pass one or more certification exams and sign the Cisco Certifications and Confidentiality Agreement.

But for the new exam taker, to know what the exams are, how to take the exam and which certifications is the most suitable is very important. This article will show you a detailed discerption of Cisco certifications and exams.

Exams are proctored, timed, and delivered in a secure environment. Most exams last approximately one to two hours. Lab exams typically last eight hours.

Candidates must acknowledge the Cisco Certifications and Confidentiality Agreement online at the authorized testing center prior to taking any Cisco Certification exam. Candidates will not be able to proceed with the exam and a refund will not be provided. Signing this legal agreement is required to be officially certified.

Exams can be very challenging, going beyond simple recall and requiring candidates to engage in on the job types of problem solving. Questions include multiple-choice single answer, multiple-choice multiple answers, drag and drop, fill in the blank and simulations. An Exam Tutorial is available to demonstrate the various question formats.

Exams other than CCIE lab exams are delivered online, with questions in a specific sequence. Exam takers cannot "mark" an exam question and return to it later. Cisco offers an certification exam tutorial that demonstrates the type of questions in the exams.

Candidates will be provided with an erasable note board and marker for notes and calculations to assist them as they answer the questions.

Exams may contain non-scored items to collect performance data on new items. Non-scored items are not used in determining the passing score nor are reported in a subsection of the score report. All non-scored items are randomly placed in the exam with sufficient time calculated and given to complete the entire exam.

At the completion of computer-based exams, candidates receive a score report along with a score breakout by exam section and the passing score for the given exam. Lab exams are Pass/Fail and results are available online (using login) within 48 hours.

Cisco does not publish exam passing scores because exam questions and passing scores are subject to change without notice.

5. Latest Cisco Retired Exams and Their Replaced Exams

Cisco changes the content of their current exams very frequently and their old exams retired frequently, too. In order not to waste your precious time, we suggest you to have the latest news about the current exams. Here we have a table which contains all Cisco Certification - lead4pass retired exams and their retired exams. Please look up your exam and check if it is still valid or find your replaced exam if your exam has been or is going to retiled.
